Bad Gastein has hot springs and used to be what Kitzbühel is now, was called Monaco of the Alps until the 40s when it declined in popularity. It‘s had a bit of a comeback since the 80s and especially 2023. While there are still a couple of dilapidated and unsightly corners it‘s a really fascinating and beautiful place even today. I recommend looking it up, it looks insane in the snow!
