I think it's obvious. They're far cheaper than the bigger models. Not only GLA 45s, CLA 45s and especially A 45s, but I'm beginning to see some new 43s, too, that aren't spot-worthy. A decade ago (or earlier), when these models didn't exist, the most popular AMGs were ML 63s, SL 55s, a few C 63s and a few SLK 55s, and very few of the rest of the models. But of course these were located on the 100.000 € barrier or beyond. Whereas, a basic AMG A 45 costs about 55.000€. We find some more "extreme" AMGs nowadays, like an AMG C 63 S Coupe, or even an AMG S 63 Cabriolet, but these are mostly imported from abroad and wear Greek or foreign license plates, because taxes here make them too expensive.
